Job Description
An Emergency Medicine Registrar is required beginning in August 2008 for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
The position is accredited for ACEM training and includes the option of subsequent training rotations through other accredited areas such as ICU / Anaesthetics / Medicine. There is excellent training for the exams and research components.
This regional Victorian city is the perfect host, serving up a fine array of restaurants and a range of excellent accommodation, from snug bed-and-breakfasts to carefully restored 19th century hotels. The population is 80,000 and is increasing year-by-year. This large modern city has numerous restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, tourist attractions, parks, shopping precinct and good sports facilities.
Once you've explored the location’s past and present, there's a whole region to discover. The city lies close to the Great Ocean Road and to the heart of some of central Victoria's finest attractions: the spectacular Grampians, the wineries of the Pyrenees, and historic mining towns such as Clunes and Creswick. The location is easy to reach [just 65 miles from Melbourne along the Western Freeway]. You may find, however, that its warmth and welcome make it hard to leave.
