Applications are invited for a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine. This position is part of an exciting expansion of the Emergency Department that will improve the assessment and treatment of patients presenting to the Department. This positions is suited to Area of Need requirements.

This hospital has approximately 400 beds, and major clinical services cover medicine, surgery and obstetrics and gynaecology. It operates a 24-hour emergency department and a full Intensive Care Unit and CCU. It also has 24 hour medical imaging and pathology services on site. It has recently expanded to include a Psychiatric Emergency Centre and further significant infastructure capital developments are planned over the next few years.

Successful applicants may be offered a conjoint university appointment within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney or University of Western Sydney. The level of academic appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and scholarship and will be held only during the tenure of the appointment. No remuneration is attached to the University appointment.
