Job Description
Heavy Transport Diesel Mechanics (3) are required for one of the largest family-owned and operated transport businesses in Queensland. The business is well known and very highly regarded by businesses, community and the transport sectors.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
· conducting general service work right through to major repairs and rebuilds on the following:
- Cummins and Volvo engines
- Eaton and Volvo transmissions
- Eaton and Volvo differentials
- American and Volvo suspensions
- Auto electrics and electronic engine management
· after becoming familiar with how the company operates:
- Field service work (as required)
- Handle and arrange the repairs of vehicles away from base in an on call situation
This position will suit applicants who have experience as heavy transport mechanics rather than car or mining mechanics.
