Job Description

A Heavy Transport Diesel Mechanic is required for a highly respected dealership primarily involved with the sale of transport equipment with their main lines being Kenworth and DAF.
With branches strategically located throughout Queensland and New South Wales, this enterprise is well-equipped to service customer needs. They provide excellent backup and breakdown response to their clients.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
· Service, maintenance and major repair of Kenworth and DAF trucks
· Service, maintenance and major repair of:
- Caterpillar Diesel engines > 700hp
- Cummins Diesel engines > 700hp
- Detroit Diesel Engines
- Eaton road ranger gear boxes and diffs
- General gearboxes and gearbox splitters
- Electronic and mechanic fuel injection systems
- Computer controlled engine management systems for a range of brands
- Bogey drive as well as air and electric braking systems
· Breakdown and roadside repair of a range of heavy transport
· General fitting of a range of road transport equipment including turntables, bullbars and hydraulics for a range of applications
· Suspension and steering overhauls of all suspension types including torsion bars, leaf, coil and airbag
· Manual and auto transmission overhauls and troubleshooting
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with skills, ability, experience and performance.
This position would ideally suit those that have a background in the maintenance of a long haul fleet in a busy transport company and dealer experience with any European and American brands.
